Physical Therapy

Centered Health Physical Therapy is not your typical physical therapy practice. Instead, we pride ourselves on offering a holistic approach to physical therapy, supporting the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of each individual. This is accomplished through a unique type of body work called Manual Therapy, which has its foundations in Osteopathic Medicine.

Manual Therapy is the new apex for health and recovery. It is a noninvasive, drug-free healing modality, which is based on countless clinical case studies and scientific research. By complementing the body’s natural healing processes, Manual Therapy is a gentle hands-on approach that has yielded dramatic results for people with a wide range of ailments. Several types of Manual Therapies are used in combination with each other to reach optimal results for each patient. Some which may be incorporated into treatment include:

  •  CranioSacral Therapy
  •  Myofascial Release
  •  Visceral Manipulation
  •  Mobilization

These therapies are used in an integrative fashion to correctly diagnosis and treat the root causes of pain, disability, disease and dysfunction. It is in treating the cause that its symptoms will cease to re-emerge. This ultimately leads to a more whole, involved and active lifestyle.

A typical treatment takes place in a private setting and lasts roughly one hour. Here you spend one on one time with a highly trained and skilled therapist who will work with you and your body to achieve the goals you have set. The techniques and methods used by our therapists complement the natural healing mechanisms of the body and are safe and gentle enough to be used on newborns.

We identify that each patient is an individual and each condition unique. Therefore, every treatment session and plan is completely personalized and individualized to satisfy your needs and goals.

We perform a full body evaluation on each patient that comes to us to ensure a thorough understanding of the problems and conditions that need to be addressed. Also, each session is a combination of evaluation and treatment to make certain that your goals are being met and that your body is being supported where it is needed.

Most importantly, you can expect to be treated with kindness, respect and above all compassion.

Below is a list of pain, dysfunction and disease processes that we have had success with treating in the past:

  •  Acute Pain

The only way to know the extent to which the combine efforts of these therapies will be effective for you is to set up a visit for a diagnostics session and treatment plan. We promise that you won’t be disappointed.
As of October 1, 2006, a physician’s referral is no longer required to begin physical therapy treatments.
